DescriptionThis position requires a self-motivated engineer with strong technical skills who is an excellent collaborator to handle responsibilities including:

Implementing new software tools for real-time analysis, introspection, visualization, and scenario replay in the Generative AI space.

Prototyping ideas to help users (developers, designers, leaders) understand and influence the inputs, outputs, and internal states of an AI-powered system.

Sharing concepts and objectives with cross-functional teams, collecting and anticipating project needs.

Participating in architecture and code reviews.

Leading and mentoring other engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

Track record for building complex applications that are functional and delightful.

Proficient in Swift, C++, or ObjC and skilled familiarity with SwiftUI and/or UIKit.

Attention to detail, creativity, and passion.

Ability to deconstruct large features and implement practical solutions with good intuition in making time vs. complexity tradeoffs.

Track record of working cross-functionally to build strong partnerships amongst teams and individuals.

Strong grasp of Apple development tools.

Strong object-oriented programming and design skills.

Proven software architecture experience.

BS in Computer Science or related technical field and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and experience working on 3D applications including exposure to Metal and modern rendering techniques.

Experience in data mining and data visualization.

Experience developing connected applications powered by large scale data storage.

System and network troubleshooting, profiling, and debugging skills.

Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
