The ideal candidate will have experience advising and representing insurers, reinsurers, and intermediaries in insurance coverage disputes and reinsurance matters. This position offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment where attorneys handle a wide variety of complex and challenging legal issues.Duties:Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes, reinsurance matters, and complex litigation cases.Advise insurers, reinsurers, and intermediaries on regulatory investigations and mass tort litigation, including environmental liability, asbestos, and workers' compensation.Assist with litigation involving construction defects, opioids, toxic tort claims, and other related legal matters.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare complex legal documents including motions, discovery requests, and responses.Manage cases independently while collaborating with a team of professionals on larger matters.Develop creative solutions to complex legal challenges to meet client needs and objectives.Communicate with clients to provide regular updates, advice, and strategic guidance.Requirements:3 or more years of demonstrated litigation experience.Strong technical skills with a deep understanding of insurance coverage and reinsurance disputes.Experience with complex litigation matters, including mass torts, environmental liability, and construction defect claims.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including advocacy experience.Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently while working proactively in a team-oriented environment.Admission to the bar in Massachusetts or Connecticut in good standing.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active bar membership in Massachusetts or Connecticut.Skills:Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Effective client management and problem-solving capabilities.Proficient in managing complex litigation cases and developing creative legal solutions.
