8901 - Corp Office West Crk - 12800 Tuckahoe Creek Parkway, Richmond, Virginia, 23238About this jobThis member of the Home Office HR Services team serves as a strategic business partner across assigned Home Office departments to strengthen their talent bench, engage and develop associates, and ensure we effectively mitigate HR risk. This is done through effectively building relationships at all levels of the organization, understanding the needs of assigned business partners, and helping business partners meet those needs while ensuring alignment with the broader HR strategy and Company vision.What you will doBuild and maintain strong effective partnerships with the leadership teams, management and associates, and develop a position of influence to maintain the valued CarMax culture. Establish and maintain trust with associates at all levels across the business.Provide leadership and support to all levels of leadership on policy interpretation, performance management, associate relations, talent management, development and other associate matters.While partnering with CarMax Centers of Excellence, execute effective oversight of CarMax’s compensation, benefits, talent management, organization structure, associate relations processes and initiatives, while doing so with a customer service mindset.Manage and oversee company development programs, and ensure effective utilization to build and maintain a bench to meet the organizations needs now, and in the future.Analyze Human Resources metrics to recognize trends and work with business partners to address opportunities.Qualifications and Requirements5+ years of related Human Resources experienceCurrently at Senior Manager competency level, or successful completion of Senior MDP or any preceding development program (internal candidates)HRCI/SHRM certification preferredDemonstrated experience with change management, leading others through change, and influencing across all levels of the organizationDemonstrated experience with evaluating root cause(s) to multi-layer problems and identifying impacts beyond the immediate team/departmentDemonstrated experience with communicating both simple and complex messages in a manner that is clear, persuasive, and sincere, at all levels of the organizationProficiency with Microsoft OfficeWork Location and Arrangement:
This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement.Work Authorization:
