Provides strategic leadership to the company and oversees the development and implementation of human resources programs and services for areas of responsibility in support of the credit union's goals and objectives. Responsible for providing strategic human resource planning and to provide and maintain the best human capital available and to position the credit union as the employer of choice by being aware of all policies, practices and trends within the credit union industry and all of the financial industry in general.Job Description

Ensures MACU culture is well integrated at all levels of employees.Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the organization's human resource function and performance as a trusted strategic business partner at MACU.Translates strategic and tactical operational business plans into strategic HR plans, using innovation.Formulates and enhances or develops human resource policies and objectives; focusing on establishing a high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, goal achievement, professional development, and attracting and retaining a highly qualified workforce.Leads HR compliance and maintains knowledge of all federal, state and local employment law and regulation requirements. Provides technical knowledge and advice to others within the human resources discipline, as well as the management team.Coaches and mentors all levels of employees, providing positive employee relations.Drives employee engagement by establishing and maintaining credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees. Ensures engagement survey results are addressed in a timely manner.Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning of new programs to identify talent within and outside the organization as those items impact the attraction, motivation, engagement, development of the human capital of MACU.Develops and maintains staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside MACU for positions of responsibility. Identifies appropriate, effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the company, ensuring a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates.Develops and maintains programs to allow the corporation to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees.Develops and maintains human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs for the filling of the gaps. Including talent management through talent reviews, individual development plans, succession planning, training and development programs.Develops and maintains progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance and to provide programs which utilize an employee and company partnership for the short and long-range health and welfare protection of the employees.Responsible for assigned aspects of the human resources function, that might include employee engagement, employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, internal communications and HRIS with the goal in mind of being the Employer of Choice.Prepares and reviews HR metrics and makes recommendations for improvement. Directs, prepares and maintains reports to carry out the functions of the department.Prepares the relevant portions of the annual budget for the Human Resources Department and administers allotted funds in accordance with budget.Other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIESThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Estimates personnel needs and assigns work to meet these needs. Supervises, coordinates and reviews the work of assigned staff. Recommends candidates for employment, conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff, and applies company policy.
