Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.6 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.Preferred qualifications:Experience implementing industry-leading practices around cyber risks and Cloud security for clients’ cloud security frameworks using industry standards.Knowledge of the components that comprise a successful information security program.Ability to provide guidance on building or transforming cyber security programs and the implementation of technologies used for enterprise security, and provide advice on best practices for managing the cyber security risks during digital transformation as organizations.Ability to conduct security reviews and maturity assessments across technology and business teams to address cyber risk.Ability to provide clear and organized risk findings and recommendations to clients.About the jobAs a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. Security Consultants have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud services, corporate network environments, and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors and successfully lead complex engagements alongside cross-functional teams.

As a Mandiant Principal Strategic Security Consultant, you will lead and support projects on behalf of clients that assess, test, or build their security programs. You will provide guidance and advice to our clients on best practices and managing the risks for their security program.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop roadmaps and recommendations to drive client enhancements of their cloud security architecture, governance, and standards. Identify, incorporate, and articulate cloud security best practices (e.g., Zero Trust design and cloud incident response).Perform security configuration assessments of a client’s cloud platforms.Perform security configuration reviews for common cloud-based SaaS platforms. Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations. Track and drive to closure any issues that impact the service and its value to clients.Provide guidance on building and/or maturing cyber security programs and the implementation of tools and technologies used for enterprise security.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
