Description
Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain and Customer Experience, the Strategic Account Support Specialist will manage and oversee various order processing and order management duties in alignment with company policies and procedures. This is a non-supervisory position.
Responsibilities:
Retailer and Sales Support:
•Assist with onboarding of retail accounts, including reviewing and interpreting relevant documents and communicating requirements
•Lead operational execution of account requirements by utilizing internal and external resources to fully understand the complexities of the retail partner to ensure successful and compliant execution
•Advocate for partnership and continuous process improvement related to order management, EDI, and logistics to evolve supply chain processes
•Maintain customer information in SAP for the Retail Division efficiently, including payment terms, shipping method, addresses, contact details, and price lists
•Participate in communication efforts as a liaison between Operations and Retailers
•Understand and stay up-to-date on specific Retailer processes by attending Retailer-hosted webinars and self-paced trainings
Order Processing Management:
•Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure accurate order processing and fulfillment
•Interact with order data in retailer platforms, intermediary applications, and SAP
•Become subject matter expert in specific customer requirements, working to resolve and proactively minimize customer chargebacks through compliant processes and timely and accurate information and document exchanges
•Directly responsible for order processing, including order confirmation, creation, maintenance (products, quantities, pricing, shipping addresses, etc.), and relevant order documentation
•Monitor the order to cash process for assigned accounts, keeping relevant teams informed and assisting with challenging customer requests or issue escalations as needed
•Use logic and available systems to identify source and initiate resolution of data validation errors, intervene manually to complete data transmissions as needed
•Develop ad-hoc and repetitive reports and information tools as requested to support order management transactions and processes
General Sales Support:
•Crosstrain with other Strategic Account Support Specialists to ensure coverage and support across the team
•Assist with special projects as required, ensuring seamless order processing and support of retail accounts
•Collaborate and communicate effectively and frequently with the sales team, customers, internal departments, and 3PL partners to streamline order management and simplify the business
Additional Responsibilities:
•Ensure all paperwork and database entries are completed accurately and promptly
•Uphold a professional image by projecting a positive demeanor to all internal and external contacts
•Follow all related SOPs
•Assist with training of other Strategic Account Support Specialists
•Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
Requirements
Education:
•Associate degree or combination of equivalent of education and experience required
•Associates Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
Experience:
•Minimum of 1-2 years in an office or sales position, focusing on order processing or management within a customer and/or sales environment required
•3 or more years' experience in a sales or analysis role preferred
•Experience in retail operations with a focus on order fulfillment preferred
•Familiarity with marketing, distributor, and retail account support or sales management preferred
Other Requirements:
•Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet
•ERP experience, SAP experience preferred
•Occasional domestic travel may be required
