Primary Position ObjectiveThe Manager of Human Resources is responsible for suggesting and implementing organizational and people strategies that align to the business strategy, serving as a change champion, implementing effective employee relations strategy, and aligning employee culture with company values.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Analyze and present people metrics and data to leadership to inform sound talent and business decisions utilizing available system reporting and develops additional monitoring tools to manage exceptions to standardsCoach leaders to facilitate resolution of employee and organizational issuesGuide leaders through talent movement and execute on strategic organizational design decisions;As directed, counsels and guides managers in interpreting and applying policies, procedures and legal considerations to resolve issues related to disciplinary action, termination, training, and conflict resolution and provides feedback and recommendationsAct as a resource for employees; addressing HR related questions and concerns; escalating issues when necessarySupport major change initiatives, strategic staffing plans, and organizational developmentAct as a strong team player, partnering with the HR team and internal leaders to identify trends and opportunities for improvement to drive high employee engagementMonitors regulatory changes and addresses inconsistencies to minimize company riskFacilitate the organization’s management of unemployment and worker’s compensation issues.Back up payroll processing and administration as neededEnsure timely reporting for all local, state, and federal employment related programsUse technology to improve process efficiency and quality of service; embrace and implement opportunities for automationVerify that the quality and integrity of the department are maintainedVerify that the department supports the overall goals of the Companies and that services are delivered professionally and efficientlyFacilitate an atmosphere within the organization that attains and maintains a high level of morale and embraces our Vision-Mission-Values and our Goals and Objectives “VMVGO”Other duties as assigned and apparentAdditional Expectations:Provide a professional example, displaying accuracy, quality, integrity and consistency in performanceCommunicate openly and in a courteous manner with employees, leaders and business partnersSuggest solutions to resolve issues promptlyKeep management informed of pertinent informationIndependent Judgment:Possess reasonable and appropriate judgement regarding hiring, firing, discipline, salaries, grievances and policy interpretationThis is a very visible position requiring a high level of interaction with Leadership and EmployeesRequirements & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years’ experienceExcellent analytical skills necessary to recommend policies and procedures to conform to state and federal laws and regulations and to meet business needsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated experience in multiple areas of HRKnowledge of federal, state and local laws pertaining to employment lawStrong comfort level with technology, including ability to adapt to new systems quickly and easilyThorough knowledge of and comfort with the Microsoft office suite applicationsPhysical RequirementsTalking - Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accuratelyHearing - Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary informationRepetitive Motion - Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingersVision - Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or use computer equipmentPhysical Strength - Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionallyThis description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by an employee in this position.
