The County of Sacramento is seeking an experienced M365 Governance Specialist to join our M365 Governance team. This role will involve working closely with customers, enterprise support teams, and Microsoft to oversee and implement M365 features within a government tenant environment. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of M365 features and functions, with particular expertise in SharePoint, OneDrive, and MS Teams, as well as proficiency in project management and business analysis.Responsibilities:
Provide implementation guidance and best practices for M365 across the government tenant.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify M365 features for deployment and oversee their implementation.Govern and document tenant settings in a central repository, ensuring they are optimized and compliant with user requirements and county standards.Assist in M365 project management tasks, including requirements gathering, documentation, and support for project proposals, scheduling, and planning.Lead M365-related projects, managing timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes.Serve as a technical resource, supporting the M365 project manager with product adoption and championing M365 best practices among users and stakeholders.Review the Microsoft M365 roadmap to identify relevant updates, new features, and upcoming changes that require attention.Coordinate with support teams and customers to address necessary changes, assess impacts, and facilitate communication for smooth rollouts.Maintain and update M365 tenant settings related to end-user features, participate in workflows to review and adjust settings, and ensure proper configuration for new features or feature changes.Document and manage settings, changes, and configurations to optimize the M365 environment.Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and improve efficiency within the M365 tenant.Develop solutions using PowerApps and PowerBI, if applicable, to enhance functionality and reporting capabilities for end users.Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in M365 governance, administration, or similar role.Strong understanding of M365 features, particularly SharePoint, OneDrive, and MS Teams, with experience in a government or large enterprise environment preferred.Broad knowledge of M365 suite and administration, including best practices for implementation and governance.Project management and business analysis skills, with experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and project planning.Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, PowerApps, and PowerBI development is a plus.Compensation:
