Social Media Content & Ad Manager

to join our Marketing and Communications team. The ideal candidate is an outgoing, creative, approachable, strategic, and experienced content creator and ad manager with a passion for using social media as a storytelling platform. The individual should have demonstrated ability to build community, engage diverse audiences, promote growth, attain leads, and strengthen the DigiPen brand.This is a salaried, non-exempt, full-time position. Candidates must be able to work on-site in Redmond during typical business hours (M-F); with occasional evening or weekend as needed.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Manage DigiPen’s social media channels including but not limited to Instagram (including Instagram Stories and Reels), YouTube (including Shorts), TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, Threads, and Snapchat, while continuously assessing new platforms that could engage our target audience.Develop and set the vision, voice, and strategy for DigiPen’s social media presence, shaping content and platform use to tell compelling stories and build brand loyalty.Collaborate with editorial and creative teams to develop engaging, cross-platform strategies (organic and paid) that align with brand objectives and reach diverse audiences.Act as a storyteller, capturing and sharing content that highlights the academic, social, and cultural aspects of the DigiPen experience, from students to faculty and beyond.Liaise with other departments like Career & Alumni Services, Outreach, Student Affairs, and others to help shape the social media content calendar.Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of ideas and postings, from capturing images and video, along with writing copy for social platforms with a diverse range of audiences.Leverage metrics to determine brand performance, audience insights, and campaign effectiveness and provide weekly and monthly analytics reporting.Ensure consistent brand voice and reputation across platforms, adapting style and tone to suit each channel and target audience.Actively engage and monitor social media platforms to promptly answer questions and comments.Prepare and manage a detailed social content calendar across channels.Plan, execute, and manage paid digital advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other platforms, focusing on lead generation and conversion.Continuously optimize ad performance by testing copy, visuals, audiences (A/B testing).Track and report on organic and paid social progress, goals, and other relevant social metrics.Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and emerging channels, providing strategic recommendations to continually enhance DigiPen’s online presence.Other duties as assigned.Exceptional candidates for this position will have:2+ years of professional experience in social media management, marketing, communications, video production or related field with work samples/portfolio.Proven ability in developing innovative social strategies and content.Experience growing social followings and increasing community engagement.Ability to synthesize metrics and results.Deep understanding of current and emerging social platforms and digital trends.Familiarity with gaming culture and higher education marketing.Skilled in content creation, from visual design and video capture to writing for diverse audiences across platforms.Video production experience (conceptualize, shoot and post-production) for social media platforms.Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and XD) and Canva.Familiarity with video editing tools within Instagram, TikTok or other mobile video editing apps.Experience shooting original photography.Salary Range:
