Contract consulting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager in construction with an emphasis on electrical projects. You will join the Electrical Operations teams of our retail industry client.This role requires hybrid onsite time, so the client is seeking local candidates to the Minneapolis, MN area.W2 hourly only (no c2c).Must be able to travel 25-50%:Travel will be to different locations around the US (airplane travel necessary).Mostly traveling during the week, sometimes on Sunday evenings. Some of the weekday work will be at store close for a couple of hours or overnight.Any overnight work is almost always during the week. In very rare circumstances, it can be on the weekend. Overnight work is usually grouped together in 3-4 day periods, resulting in a full work week of overnights.When not traveling, you will either work onsite (Minneapolis location) or from home.What you'll do:You will be part of a team that maintains multiple electrical assets throughout retail stores across the U.S. Many of these electrical assets, including electrical switchgear and generators, are at end of life. This is a program to replace the end-of-life assets.The function of this role is to run Project Management for Switch Gear and Generator Replacement Projects. This role will be the main point of communication between stores, vendors, utilities, and other external partners. You will also need to work with the Program Owner on setting up the schedule and tracking through execution. Projects are tracked in Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, SAP, and Zoom.EXPERIENCE:5-10 years of experience in construction project management, with an emphasis on electrical projects.Skillset includes organization, ability to communicate technical information cross-functionally, time and risk management, ability to collaborate, delegating and prioritizing scopes of work, reading drawings, and managing change processes.Previous work history would be beneficial to include roles such as Estimator, Site Foreman, Field Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrician, or Electrical Contractor PM.Ability to Collaborate.Analytical and organizational skills.Communicate Technical Information.Construction Project Management.Delegating and Prioritizing Scopes of Work.Managing Risk and Change Management.Microsoft Office.Reading Construction Drawings.Travel required (25%-50%).Willing to work occasional overnight shifts.
