Title:
Director of Business Development and Capture
Location:

Clearance:
TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the marketing and business development strategy for the entire organization
Serve as the creative and trusted agent of the Chief Strategy Officer, to drive a culture of innovation and capture excellence
Responsible for executing customer call plans
Implement the management and execution of the full business development life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals
Shape customer requirements and translate tacit customer needs into actionable features, drive differentiation in Invictus' solutions and help create a compelling value proposition
Ability to conceptualize a vision for winning, to develop strategy and business development capture plans that implement the company vision, and translate the strategy into win themes
Efficiently manage investments in marketing and Bid and Proposal (B&P)
Conduct after action reviews for all business development opportunities, document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions
Serve as a critical partner to the technology team and solution architects and coalesce the Invictus strategy along with the technology strategy
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree plus ten (10) years of experience
Excellent communications skills demonstrated through written and oral presentations, development of technical papers, volumes, or similar products
Must be forward thinking and possess business and technical vision
The ability to think strategically is a must
Possess analytical presentation and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with online tools used by the federal government for managing solicitations
Experience in identifying and qualifying large business development programs (>$100M total contract value) with emphasis on opportunity qualification and shaping
Proven record of success developing opportunities within the DoD market or the Intelligence Community (winning single award >$100M pursuits)
Demonstrated skills in all areas of business development including opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer visits and demonstrations, customer relationship development, relationship development with competitors, written submissions (market surveys, RFI responses, support to proposals), team leadership, etc.
Experience in the development of and successful negotiation of teaming agreements
Superior written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to senior executives, peers, and customers
Ability to empower and engage people and instill drive and passion into the organization
The ideal candidate has led pursuits in the IC for a minimum of five (5) years
Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish solid working relationships with technical staff, division managers, and peers across the corporation
Prior business development experience in any federal market segment
