DESCRIPTION

The AGI team is responsibly advancing Amazon's generative AI technologies, including the company's most expansive multimodal foundation models.

As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in design, development, testing, and deployment of innovative systems that can collect and process data within a smart and passionate multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for a candidate that has a strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with a team of Applied Scientists with expertise in specialized areas such as Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.

You will have an opportunity to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of cutting-edge products used every day by people you know.Responsible for development and maintenance of core modules and services.Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software against aggressive schedules.Collaborate with scientists and software engineers to evaluate technical feasibility, investigate design approaches, and prototype new technology.

About the teamThe team is focused on agent capabilities to delight consumer and enterprise customers with practical AI solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
