You will play a pivotal role in managing tax department operations and providing expert guidance on complex tax issues while ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.As the ideal candidate, you will hold a CPA and possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, backed by at least 10 years of relevant experience with a strong emphasis on state income taxes, SALT, franchise taxes, and associated regulations. You will supervise a cohort of remote tax professionals, analyze evolving tax regulations, review and file tax returns, and assist in tax audits.Your responsibilities will also include identifying opportunities for tax savings and formulating strategies to minimize tax liabilities. A solid understanding of partnerships, 1040, and S-Corp is advantageous.This is a unique opportunity for a proactive leader who can deliver insightful advice and support to other departments concerning state and local tax matters.
