ASRC FEDERAL (Agile Decision Sciences) is seeking a Scrum Master Journeyman I for our contract located at Aberdeen Proving Ground. This position is REMOTE with occasional travel to the customer site required.

Scrum Master Journeyman I (AESIP-01)

Each position plays a crucial part in maintaining and advancing our environment, ensuring seamless operations and robust support for CECOM personnel worldwide.

Position Description: This position supports Agile project management efforts under ASRC Federal’s CECOM SETA Support within the PEO EIS MSP. The PEO EIS MSP ensures that the U.S. Army’s IT projects are efficiently managed and delivered through Agile methodologies. As a Scrum Master Senior I, you will lead cross-functional teams, remove barriers, and ensure that Agile principles are adhered to while facilitating continuous improvement and high-quality results.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Substitution for degree: Must have an industry-recognized Scrum Master certification.

2 - 4 years experience with strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication, and technical negotiation skills.

Expert in executing common Agile practices and service-oriented environments.

Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of iterative development, including backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition.

Experience working with distributed software development products and teams.

Experience leading cross-functional teams and in technical leadership.

Ability to rapidly prioritize competing requirements and simplify customer requirements.

Proven knowledge of managing Agile software development efforts and expertise in removing technical and organizational barriers.

Ability to coach, mentor, and train on Agile principles and practices.

Secret security clearance.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in IT service management, with a focus on Agile methodologies.

Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.

Experience with Agile tools and frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Strong technical knowledge of AWS services and best practices.

Proven ability to lead and manage IT teams, with a track record of success in delivering high-quality results.

Experience with ServiceNow, including incident, problem, and change management.

Desired Skills:

AWS certification (such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) is a plus.
