Job Description:

Department and Role Overview:

The US Financial Crime Risk Modeling & Advanced Analytics team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering / Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) models/AI solutions.

We are seeking data scientists at various levels to innovate, drive, and support initiatives in multiple functional areas including customer rating, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and analytics.

Job Description:

The Data Scientist III provides technical leadership across the overall Analytics function, offering deep technical knowledge in client interactions to explain complex data analysis.

Depth & Scope:

Accountable for a significant business management area with enterprise-wide impact.

Requires broad managerial and deep specialized knowledge.

Undertakes complex initiatives requiring specialist knowledge and integration of cross-functional processes.

Works independently on analysis, design, and support of technical data management solutions.

Focuses on longer-range planning for functional area.

May manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Education & Experience:

Undergraduate or advanced technical degree preferred.

5+ years of relevant experience; higher degree education can be counted.

Preferred Skills:

Master's degree and over 2 years' relevant experience.

Proficient with Python and SQL.

Experience in Financial Crimes / Compliance Risk Analytics.

Experience with optimization/tuning of AML/CTF solutions.

Customer Accountabilities:

Works closely with business owners to identify opportunities.

Translates business problems into viable data science solutions.

Uses programming languages and techniques for extracting and preparing data.

Visualizes insights from data to convey results to decision-makers.

Collaborates with partners to develop scalable data science solutions.
