As a Security Member, your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure your hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.What is in it for you:Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time statusCompetitive extended benefits package including medical, vision and dental for full time permanent statusEmployee Travel ProgramDiscounts on food & beverage/spa/golfOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and over 5,000 properties with AccorWhat you will be doing:Reporting to the Security Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceFollow departmental policies, procedures and service standardsRespond to guest and colleague concerns effectivelyRespond to trespassers and unauthorized persons found on propertyRespond to altercations and complaints, lockouts, in-room safe callsAssist in issuing rooms to new colleagues who may arrive after Staff Services hoursMonitor and report any vehicle infractions - parking, speeding, dangerous driving, etc.Monitor and deal with wildlife situations within the property limitsPerform routine emergency equipment inspectionsRespond to any activated fire prevention device (pre-alarms, smoke alarms, rate of rise and heat alarms, fire bells), investigate causes and report findingsRegularly patrol all developed property areas and buildingsComplete daily log of shift activities and providing appropriate sections to departments within the hotel for follow-upMaintain high standard of positive interdepartmental relationsAdhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehiclesOther related duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:Previous Safety/Security experience an assetValid provincial Security Services and Investigator license requiredValid Alberta driver’s license and clean driving record requiredFirst Aid and CPR certification required, preference given to applicants with Advanced First AidFire fighter training an assetWHMIS and other safety courses an assetAbility to deal effectively with the public in conflict situationsComputer skills (Excel, Property Manager and MS Office software) are requiredExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work with fellow colleagues cohesively as part of a team with minimal supervisionAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesYour team and working environment:Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotelClose proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summerHospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connectionsWalking: 5-6 hrs/dayRunning: 0-0.5 hrs/dayStanding: 3-4 hrs/dayBending/Reaching: 3-4 hrs/dayDriving: 4-5 hrs/dayPushing/Pulling: 4-5 hrs/dayPhysical effort: high, required to lift up to 120 lbs, at times may be required to lift 150 lbsEnvironmental stress: high- constantly going in and out of buildingsVisa Requirements:
