Family Law Attorney

Job Overview:A rapidly growing law firm specializing in workers' compensation and general practice is seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to join its team. This is a hybrid remote position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to manage a variety of family law and estate planning cases. The ideal candidate will be licensed in both Illinois and Indiana, with a focus on family law matters such as divorce, child custody, spousal support, and estate planning.Location:Chicago, ILDuties:Provide legal advice and representation to clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and estate planning.Draft and review legal documents such as divorce decrees, custody agreements, wills, and trusts.Assist clients with estate planning, including creating and updating wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.Represent clients in court during hearings and trials related to family law and estate planning matters.Manage a caseload of family law and estate planning cases, ensuring timely communication with clients and adherence to deadlines.Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive legal representation.Stay updated on changes in family law and estate planning legislation and best practices.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice in the State of Indiana and Illinois.Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce, custody, and estate planning matters.Superior written and oral communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and efficiently.Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admitted to practice law in Illinois and Indiana.Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent negotiation and litigation skills.Proficient in legal research and case management tools.Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.Benefits:Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
