Our NC based client is seeking a Business Development Director for a hybrid opportunity in their Boston, MA office (located in Woburn). Our client is a life sciences professional services company that provides engineering, compliance, and project management expertise to clients in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. They were founded in 2004 and have a global footprint that serves a diverse range of clients, from startups to Fortune 100 companies.

POSITION OVERVIEWThe Business Development Director will work closely with the Vice President of Business Development and the Chief Commercial Officer to:
Build and manage client relationships.
Secure new projects to drive company revenue.
Help clients meet their goals and achieve sales objectives in the Boston, MA region.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Networking with clients and prospects.
Generating and closing new business.
Leveraging lead generation tools such as ZoomInfo, SalesForce.com, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Identify, qualify, and close business in the Life Sciences industry.
Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet revenue targets.
Convert warm leads into business opportunities.
Draft proposals and solutions for projects.
Address client concerns and build strategic relationships.
Monitor client relationships to identify growth opportunities.
Create and present quarterly client reviews.
Collaborate with internal teams for accurate forecasting and delivery efficiencies.
Attend events and lead campaigns to generate project opportunities.
Promote company brand at tradeshows and conferences.
Maintain CRM with up-to-date lead and opportunity data.
Assist in evaluating potential partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related field or experience in sales, business development, marketing, or communications. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.
8+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development.
Life Sciences industry experience is required.
Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biomedical, or Medical Device sectors is preferred.
Experience managing or selling professional services is a must for this role.
Proven track record in developing relationships and cross-selling.
CRM experience (Salesforce) preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
Excellent project management and consultative sales skills.
Ability to build partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Strong customer service mindset.
Tech-savvy with strong soft skills.
MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL up to 30 % internationally and domestically so a valid passport is required.
