ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN - FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME WANTED CANISTEO, NY LOCATIONWe are looking for a new Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Canisteo, NY. The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for various duties and responsibilities, such as treating sick or injured animals, educating the public about diseases and infections, promoting the health and wellness of animals, recording actions, ensuring compliance with veterinary procedures, operating diagnostic equipment, and establishing or carrying out quarantine or testing procedures that combat the spread of diseases.The successful candidate should be able to show compassion to both pets and their owners, possess outstanding dexterity in handling small animals while performing precise tasks, and react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the well-being of an animal. They should also have a strong fondness and understanding of animals, effective communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of animal behavior, the ability to work extended hours and on-demand, and the ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research, and surgery of animals.New graduates are welcome to apply, and mentorship and training from experienced veterinarians will be provided. We have available openings by preference at all three locations, and both part-time and full-time positions are available.Our practice offers a base salary and pro-sal opportunity, 401k with a match of up to 4%, health and disability insurance, PTO and flexible schedules, PLIT and DEA renewal fees coverage, VIN subscription coverage, and CE stipend. The work schedule is either a 10-hour or 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.To qualify for this position, candidates must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program, be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of New York, have a minimum of three years of experience (new grads are welcome), routine surgical experience, and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
