in the
Walnut Creek, CA area
to help our growing local and global clients address a wide array of occupational Safety and Health challenges in the following areas:Auditing/AssessmentsBehavior Based SafetyBiohazardsChemical or Lab SafetyData AnalysisElectrical Safety / NFPA 70EFire PreventionIndustrial HygieneLaser SafetyLock Out Tag Out (LOTO)Machine GuardingProcess Hazard AssessmentsRobotics SafetySafety Process ImprovementRESPONSIBILITIES:Providing onsite client support to help solve their most pressing EHS challenges.Assist global innovative companies develop solutions to complex technical and regulatory issues and concerns.Perform safety risk assessments/analyses, inspections, and observations as part of implementing effective EHS programs, procedures, practices, and standard work to ensure regulatory compliance and protect personnel and the environment.Help develop and implement innovative EHS programs and strategies in the areas of Hazard Communication (HazComm), Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), Chemical Management, Occupational Health, Safety Management Systems, Process Safety and Risk Management (PSM), Industrial Hygiene, and technical support.Support EHS communication in various client environments, while assuring safe operating procedures are implemented and followed.Investigate accidents, incidents, or issues, identifying and/or implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Manage a variety of tasks to achieve scope, budget and schedule targets while ensuring we meet and exceed our clients' expectations on deliverables.Build strong collaborative relationships with our clients and other ERM employees.Work with project team to enthusiastically and effectively implement assignments for client.Assist with collection, review, and analysis of field data to evaluate conditions, present information, and implement effective solutions.Develop an understanding of how your work affects our clients’ business objectives and help them achieve these objectives as an extension of their EHS team.Ensure quality standards on project deliverables and correspondence.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors’ in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related science degree and/or work experience (2 years of experience is equivalent to 1 year education).1+ years of relevant experience.Ability to travel and support our clients in the South Bay (Santa Clara County and San Mateo County) and ERM office for up to 40 hours/week.Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.Working understanding of relevant local, state and federal regulations and how they apply to specific industries.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments (tasks and deliverables) concurrently.Organized, analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solver, has project management skills and strong focus on results, and ability to work independently.Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and diverse environment, where support responsibilities may be shared.Ability to effectively communicate and send clear, concise, and consistent messages, both verbally and written, with team members, leadership, and client customers including presenting tangible information to management.Ability to work independently (with guidance and direction) and in a team setting.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:OHST/ASP/GSP/AHMM certifications or similar qualifications / experience.Knowledge of California state and local EHS regulations as well as best industry practices.For the
Consulting Senior Associate, Health & Safety position , we anticipate the annual base pay of
$66,560 – $68,883 USD.
An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above.
