*Sponsorship is not offered for this position and applicant must reside in the United States.SUMMARY:This position acts as a liaison between the Live Production Manager and Smart Chicken's contract growers. They are responsible for monitoring and ensuring preparedness of barns for chick placement. In addition, auditing and enforcing all company standards while assisting the growers with management of their flocks.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure growers readiness to receive chicks
Ensure water is turned on, feed trays are out with feed, water is on, ventilation is properly set, & backups engaged
Oversee placement
Obtain basket counts and chick temps
Ensure smithways are functioning properly
After placement-help collect DOAs, get with grower on any plans after observing chicks, send relevant observations back to grower.
Report weekly bird postings as needed during grow cycle, including day old chick posts.
Assess and report on growers buildings and growing conditions
Collect data including but not limited to mortality, weights, and water/feed consumption.
Participates in grower meetings
Monitor feed quality
Maintain direct contact with the hatchery and the Company to communicate quality of chicks
Communicate with growers the placement and kills dates for birds
Provide ongoing feedback and assistance to growers to assist in managing growth and health of flocks
Assuring compliance with all third-party standards and governmental regulations
Adhere to all biosecurity program regulations
Assist growers with sanitation measures.

REQUIREMENTS:Education:
Bachelors or Associates Degree in animal science, agriculture or related field preferredExperience:
1 year in the agriculture field, preferably poultry and general knowledge of animal science and agriculture preferredCommunication Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret training periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ENVIRONMENT:Stand/Walk: Continuously
Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs), Occasionally (up to 30-45 lbs.)
Other Physical Requirements:
Occasionally; bend/stoop, crouch, kneel, push/pull
Continuously; working around moving machinery, in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity.
Travel:
