The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in handling financial services matters, including litigation in banking, securities, and regulatory issues. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals representing financial institutions and professionals in both litigated and non-litigated contexts. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal analysis, managing client relationships, and handling all aspects of litigation in financial services.DutiesProvide initial analysis of financial services cases and develop case strategy.Prepare and respond to discovery requests.Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings.Communicate legal options to clients, explaining potential outcomes or risks.Build and maintain strong client relationships.Negotiate settlements and represent clients in legal proceedings.Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant financial regulations.Effectively communicate legal matters, both verbally and in writing, to clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school.Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of California.At least 4 years of experience handling financial services and banking litigation.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple cases efficiently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and public speaking.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus.EducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.CertificationsLicensed to practice law in California.SkillsExpertise in financial services litigation, including banking and securities law.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to think critically and solve complex legal problems.Self-starter with the ability to manage a busy caseload independently.Proficient in legal research and case management tools.Detail-oriented and organized.Comfortable with client interaction and relationship-building.BenefitsCompetitive compensation package.Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the firm.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.Bar expenses covered by the firm.401(k) plan with firm contributions.Company-provided life insurance (up to $150k).Year-end bonuses and referral fee incentives.
