Accordingly, we are looking to further advance our market leading position internationally and bring on board two additional consultants and/or analysts to our team.Specifically, these new recruits will go into our growing Solar, Smart Grid and Storage section. This team is working closely with analysts and engineers in other relevant sections and departments in Multiconsult, in Norway and internationally. Our projects involve everything from hands-on optimization to investment decision making and implementation support. Our team also actively contributes to public policy debates by means of high-quality analyses and reports.As a member of our team , you will get the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in meeting energy demands utilizing solar power, batteries, and smart solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, as well as experience and drive to learn and apply optimization tools/programming languages that are relevant to energy solutions and solar PV. With us, you will get an opportunity to work in highly competent teams that are advising clients at the cutting edge of tomorrow’s energy systems.Key responsibilitiesConsulting, Engineering and AnalysisProvide expert consulting services across all phases of solar PV and BESS projects (mini grid, utility-scale / commercial and industrial rooftop, ground-mounted or floating) in Scandinavia and across the world (with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa).Oversee engineering and design aspects, including CAD work, energy yield assessments, and electrical design.Conduct inspections and provide owner's / lender’s engineer services.Perform technical due diligence and support project development activities.Lead cross-functional teams and follow budget in complex assignments.Contribute to the development of innovative tools and processes.Engage in tender support, including specification development and contract review.Conduct analytical work on sites, technologies, and market trends.Contribute to financial modelling and risk assessment for complex projects.Business DevelopmentIdentify new business opportunities.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, potential clients, and key stakeholders.Develop proposals closely with sales, marketing, and management teams.Participate in enhancing visibility, credibility, and networking opportunities in international networking events.QualificationsElectrical engineering degree with a focus on renewable energy systems.Extensive experience in design, engineering, and field operations of solar plants and BESS.Proficiency in industry-standard software: PVsyst, CAD tools (PV Case), Homer, Python.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Professional working proficiency in English (Norwegian and additional languages like French, Portuguese, or Spanish are a plus).Preferred Qualifications:Experience in utility-scale PV plants or BESS asset development.Background in interdisciplinary renewable energy projects, preferably from Sub-Saharan Africa projects.Proven track record as an advisor or consultant in the industry.Established professional network in the renewable energy sector.Personal Attributes:Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Alignment with our core company values.We Offer:Complex solar, smart grids, storage, and hybridization tasks in a strongly growing market.
