We can consider candidates local to Ann Arbor OR Grand Rapids for this opportunity.POSITION DESCRIPTION:This position provides analytic and project support within the Planning and Development Department, and is responsible for analyses and project support related to Network Development, Growth Planning for Trinity Health Medical Groups (IHA & WMI). This role will lead the development of reports and dashboards that will track and manage Trinity Health Medical Groups' growth. Additionally, this position will also perform analyses and assessments to identify, prioritize and drive targeted growth opportunities through the evaluation of our network and market, including practice mergers and acquisitions, new sites and services, and consolidations.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Planning / Growth ResponsibilitiesNetwork DevelopmentIndependently conducts market and network assessments to identify and prioritize strategic growth opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, new sites and services, and consolidations.Independently develops and refreshes environmental assessments of primary/secondary service areas and new markets, recommending opportunities for growth and monitoring competitor activity.Develops and maintains market intelligence capabilities to support strategic planning process and recommends applicable courses of action.Supports mergers and acquisitions transactions, including due diligence and other responsibilities as needed.PlanningIndependently analyzes patient segments to develop strategies to drive business expansion, including retention, new patient acquisition and new site planning.Conducts reporting and analyses for growth initiatives to be shared with executive and clinical leadership.Plans and manages key growth initiatives and special projects as assigned, coordinating with leadership and other key stakeholders.Partners with Business Intelligence team to develop superior analytics to guide growth planning.Care Coordination / ReferralsSupports ongoing development of specialty network through evaluation of specialty performance and referral patterns and recommends strategies to drive improvements.Independently identifies gaps in services through analysis of referral data.Partners with IT, Continuous Improvement, operations, and business development to ensure seamless Referral data categorization and development.Analyzes data, compiles, presents recommendations related to network development and planning projects.Leads other key initiatives, projects, analytics and reporting as assigned.ORGANIZATIONAL EXPECTATIONS:Creates a positive, professional, service-oriented work environment for staff, patients and family members by supporting the mission and values of Trinity Health Medical Group.Must be able to work effectively as a member of the Strategic Planning & Development team.Assumes responsibility for performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, to assure personal safety and that of coworkers, and to report all preventable hazards and unsafe practices immediately to management.Successfully completes all relevant organizational training and adheres to Trinity Health Medical Group standard of care as outlined in the Trinity Health Code of Conduct.Maintains knowledge of and complies with Trinity Health Medical Group standards, policies and procedures.Maintains general knowledge of Trinity Health Medical Group office services and in the use of all relevant office equipment, computer and manual systems.Maintains strict confidentiality in compliance with Trinity Health Medical Group and HIPAA guidelines.Serves as a role model by demonstrating exceptional ability and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities. At least 4 years of planning and analysis experience, working with large sets of data to provide executive level reports and insights.POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ABILITIES & SKILLS):Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to provide analyses.Experience with database reporting tools, statistical analysis and relational databases.Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to executives and physicians, either in-person or virtual.Proficiency in MS Office, specifically a high level of sophistication using Excel.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Ability to work effectively and develop good working relationships with various levels of organizational members and diverse populations including IHA staff, management, providers, provider and executive leadership, patients and family members, insurance carriers, vendors, and Trinity Health.Good project and time management skills to effectively juggle multiple priorities and time constraints.Ability to handle patient and organizational information in a confidential manner.Ability to drive to other office/practice sites and meeting and training locations.Successful completion of IHA competency-based program within introductory and training period.MINIMUM PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS:Physical activity that often requires keyboarding, filing and phone work.Physical activity that often requires extensive time working on a computer.Physical activity that sometimes requires walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and/or twisting.Physical activity that sometimes requires lifting, pushing and/or pulling under 30 lbs.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust and focus.Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.Must hear and speak well enough to conduct business over the telephone or face to face for long periods of time in English.MINIMUM ENVIRONMENTAL EXPECTATIONS:This job operates in a typical office environment which involves frequent interruptions and significant interaction with people which can be stressful at times.
