This role requires strong communication, with the ability to understand and interpret requests, foresee and influence commercial and operational outcomes to find solutions for customer challenges to fully support innovation, collaboration, and positive end-user outcomes. The Strategic Account Manager will serve as the internal voice of the customer, ensure a seamless customer experience, and oversee the proper management and follow-through of critical and everyday customer-related tasks. As an essential part of the commercial team facing our strategic partners within the medical device industry, you will bring value to VitalPath by building strong internal and external networks, prioritizing activities, managing risk, and communicating appropriately with stakeholders. Responsibilities Collaborate with Customer Service, Site Operations, Business Development, Product Application Engineers, Research & Development, and other relative stakeholders to guide fulfillment activity on behalf of Strategic Customers assigned. Ensure concise demand visibility via S&OP & SIOP and facilitate intelligence gathering, resolving customer related issues as required Ensure that products in development meet or exceed customer timing expectations. Accountable for developing the interface between customer requirements and optimization requests once in serial production. Direct and coordinate quoting and proposals. This includes product cost and revenue planning, technical specifications and quality-related documents such as work or inspection plans, and capacity plans. Ensure on-going and timely communication to the customer regarding quote status and delivery, meeting internal quote turnaround targets. Direct other pricing, engineering change notifications, and customer scorecard review activity to appropriate internal stakeholders. Lead issue resolution for the customer. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve account matters by working with Customer Service, Operations, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to understand root cause and resolve. Solve practical problems & deal with a variety of changing situations daily. Lead efforts being fully engaged, while coordinating with multiple global production facilities to ensure alignment for seamless customer experience facilitating a culture of collaboration. Ensure all customer questions and concerns are responded to promptly, in full alignment with commercial and operational initiatives. Responsible for maintaining customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction utilizing shared central points of truth. Commercial & Project Support Cultivate and enhance customer relationships; leverage relationships to defend, maintain and grow the business through superior customer support and responsiveness. Collaborate with Customer Service, Operations, Business Development, Product Application Engineers, SME's, and other relative stakeholders to enforce strategic plans, identify growth opportunities, and to perform special assignments as required. Translate customer facing activities and data / mapping activities into internal account plans w/ dashboard status to maintain and grow revenue with assigned customers. Attend and occasionally lead project meetings, capture meeting minutes and action items for internal and external customer teams. Support Business Development and Product Application Managers with pre/post sales activities such as call preparation, proposal, and presentation development. Travel: Visit customer facilities to further solidify business partnerships. May include trade shows and customer open house events as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business or marketing or related field 5 years of medical device industry experience supporting account management and/or business development and customer service Relevant experience working in a contract manufacturing (CDMO preferred) environment supporting key MedTech OEM customers Technically oriented, with experience in either technical support, customer service leadership, and/or sales. Engaging personality, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Extremely organized: Able to plan, prioritize, and self-monitor workload, with attention to detail. Action Oriented: Strong sense of urgency, able to multitask. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of ERP systems. Experience with CRM systems. Salesforce experience a plus.
