About This OpportunityThe Electrical Engineer II provides leadership and guidance to Engineering and Design personnel in the pursuit of proper application of design standards and code requirements.
Provides technical guidance to cross functional teams which includes internal and external resources. The Engineer II will also work collaboratively with Sales, Manufacturing, and other departments to meet customer specifications.Global Finishing Solutions (GFS) is the leading manufacturer of paint booths and finishing systems for a wide variety of industries. As a mid-size manufacturing company, our employees are best supported through direct interaction with their co-workers.What You Will DoUse computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks and adhere to engineering and design standardsProvide technical leadership to drafting, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, installation, and customer service in support of troubleshooting for GFS equipmentLead or participate in multi-discipline product development and corrective action teams to address product cost, quality, and delivery concernsProvide phone and in-person job site support for install and start-up purposes for customer service and project management groupsPerform research and development tasks to value engineer standard products and introduce new products to the marketImprove processes and procedures to enhance the accuracy, quality, and speed of the engineers responsibilitiesLead or participate in technical reviews during all phases of the project from proposal to production releasePerforms analysis on air flow, heating, lighting, and mechanical aspectsDesign complex controls systems that integrate hardware and software which includes HMI and PLC programmingTravel to job sites to do start-up and commissioning of equipmentAnalyze and propose design concepts consistent with NFPA, UL, NEC code requirementsWhat You Have to OfferBachelors Degree in Engineering or related program with 3-8 years of experience or Masters Degree in Engineering with 0-6 years of experience or Associate degree with 10-15 years experienceDemonstrates good general knowledge of core products, technologies, and standardsWhat We Have to OfferWe offer a competitive compensation package, generous incentive plan, 401k and profit sharing, health, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability.Development and career advancement opportunities.Careers at Global Finishing SolutionsA rapidly growing business, we are continuously seeking candidates to fill both new and vacant positions.To apply for the position, please go to
