Endoscopy Technician

Part time Tuesday and Thursdays.
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN SIMI VALLEY, CA Medical Assistant with similar experience The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the cleaning, routine care, and maintenance of scopes and equipment used during an endoscopy procedure. You will play a critical role in supporting the gastroenterologist during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and proper equipment handling and reprocessing.
Duties:
Preparing and setting up of endoscopic equipment and procedure room.
Assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures.
Handling and processing specimens obtained during endoscopy.
Rinsing and reprocessing of endoscopes following procedures.
Proper operation of Automated Endoscopic Reprocessor (AER).
Performing high-level disinfection (HLD) of endoscopes.
Back Office Rooms patients utilizing best practice MA workflow and maintains patient flow per schedule. Anticipates patient care needs and consults with provider as needed. Documents patient information collected, care given and treatment provided as well as charges in a clear and concise manner in EMR. Assists with patient phone messages/tasks and documents in EMR. Organizes, stocks and maintains an orderly, clean and uncluttered work area, including but not limited to exam rooms, procedure rooms and patient care areas. Maintains current knowledge of clinical policies and procedures.
Experience:
1+ year of experience preferred. Job Type: Part-time
