The Senior Business Consultant works with Digital Transformation and IT leadership to identify and solve critical problems spanning hardware, software, and data and its use within the entire agency.This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Digital Transformation, and is responsible for:
Identifying and analyzing business problems at the intersection of data, technology, and processManaging projects throughout the entire project management lifecycle, from Initiation to CloseoutCreating robust, executive-ready deliverables and presentationsProviding compelling data visualizationsLeading meetings and work sessions with a broad set of stakeholders, while projecting an executive presenceOther value-additive duties as assignedSix or more years of experience as a business analyst, consultant, or similar role in technology or governmentSkills:
Project management, including agile and waterfall methodologies (both preferred)Business analysis and problem solving in a consultative or project setting with large, cross-functional teamsExperience managing multiple projects concurrently throughout the entire project management lifecycle, from Initiation to CloseoutExperience identifying and analyzing business problems at the intersection of data, technology, and processExperience leading meetings and work sessions with a broad set of stakeholders, while projecting an executive presenceStrong experience creating robust, executive-ready deliverables and presentationsAbility to translate complex concepts and ideas to compelling data visuals and presentationsStrong learning agility, and abilityto learn new systems and concepts quicklyExperience and skill working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Ability to communicate to a variety of audiencesExcellent written and verbal communicationDetail-oriented Prior experience working on State of Indiana large software or technical projectsExperience working within large enterprise or complex organizationsUnderstanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
