Java Cloud Applications Developer (Azure) (Hiring Immediately)

As a Penske Azure Cloud Developer, you will participate in all aspects of theAzure Software Development lifecycle by supporting existing Azure developmentefforts and troubleshooting issues as they occur while also developing newsoftware modules across multiple small to medium projects concurrently. Youwill have an opportunity to lead the design of certain software components andsuggest new products, applications and features based on industry andtechnological trends and advances. You will also consult with process ownersin reviewing, interpreting & developing systems in accordance with userrequirements. Finally, you will get an opportunity to work with a diverse teamand mentor junior software engineers.
Ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in the following areas:
-Designing, developing, and deploying high-performant, scalable, end-to-end cloud solutions in Azure platform.
-Developing and Maintaining Java-based services in Azure OpenShiftKubernetes environments.
-Utilizing Azure Cognitive Services for natural language processing, computer vision, and machine learning, Azure Data Services for storage and analytics, and Azure
Identity Management for user authentication and authorization.
-Leveraging Azure AI services for data-driven intelligent applications and predictive Business Analytics.
-Azure DevOps practices, tools, CICD pipelines.
-SQL - Experience in writing optimized complex SQL statements.
-Spring Framework, MyBatis, Web ServicesRestful API, SOA, XMLJSON
-Database Design (Cloud, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
-Implementing design frameworks and patterns.
-Writing unit tests and TDD.
-Analyzing systemsoftware performance.
In addition, it would be a plus if the candidate also had experience with:
-Python programming.
-Knowledge of the Agile software development methodology
-Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
-Create and maintain Angular websites integrated with backend services.
-Responsive Adaptive design experience (Desktop and Mobile)
-Typescript, HTMLHTML5, CSS, Javascript
-NodeJS, Swagger, Postman
-Gulp, Maven, GIT, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Artifactory
-UML.
-Splunk or other log analyzers.
-Elastic Search.
**Penske Responsibilities:**
-Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies, best practices and industry trends to continuously improve our cloud application capabilities.
-Provide cloud based technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
-Collaborate with cross-functional technicalbusiness leaders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient cloud solutions.
-Act as the primary contact and lead support associate for multiple application modules processes, resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
-Participate in all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle through supporting existing software development efforts and developing new software modules.
-Develop, maintain, test, analyze performance, troubleshoot fix applications and applicable code.
-Delegate tasks and participate in reviewing code from junior onshore & offshore developers.
-Participate in conducting new hire interviews.
-Produce deliverables with clean, well-documented and easily maintainable code that adheres to defined coding standards and best practices
-Participate in designing backend database schemas, using concepts such as Database Normalization and write complex SQL statements.
-Write unit UI tests to identify defects and leverage CICD for building and deploying code.
-Triage production issues and work with multiple teams to perform problem analysis.
-Influence the discovery and decision-making process when changes to standards and technology are required (tools, conventions and design patterns).
-Provides support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies.
-Implement best practices for cloud application security, compliance, and governance.
**Penske Qualifications:**
-Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
-5+ years of Development Experience in Java.
-3+ years of experience in developing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
-Proficiency in Azure Cognitive Services, AIML, Azure services such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, etc
-Knowledge of cloud-native development frameworks and tools.
-Experience with Java development and deployment in OpenShiftKubernetes containerized environments.
-Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer, Azure AI Engineer).
-Strong understanding of cloud application architecture, design principles, cloud-native development frameworks and tools.
-Knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Science concepts.
-Knowledge of Python programming.
-Knowledge of technical project management.
-Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
-Excellent problem-solving skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Knowledge of full software development lifecycle.
-Ability to research emerging cloud development frameworks and tools.
-A team player mindset with an ability to thrive and effectively communicate in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
-Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
