Shift: Nights (07:00 PM - 07:30 AM), Every Other Weekend & Holiday
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: 2+ years of NICU experience required
License: RN License
Certifications: BLS & NRP
Must-Have: 2+ years of NICU experience, proficiency in EPIC
Job Description:
- Work in a 25-bed unit encompassing labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn care, special care nursery, and operating rooms.- Provide care in a setting that includes 5 labor and delivery rooms, 12 postpartum rooms, 2 operating rooms, and 2 ancillary nursing units with 4 beds each.- Attend to all patient populations within the unit.- Maintain a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3 for labor and delivery evaluations, 1:1 for active labor with magnesium infusions or epidurals, and 1:3-4 for postpartum care.- Work primarily night shifts, with no floating required.- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for charting.- Manage an average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and labor cases.- Deliver patient care with attention to detail and ensure high-quality standards.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
