About this Role:
The role Licensing Compliance Analyst is a key member of the team that upholds high standards for intensive mental health care in California. The Licensing Compliance Analyst is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of 24-hour licensed psychiatric facilities under the jurisdiction of the Mental Health Licensing Branch, including on-site reviews and surveys, report writing, and follow-up on Plans of Correction. Other responsibilities include assisting in the monitoring of 24-hour licensed facilities' compliance with criminal background check requirements and regulations pertaining to Unusual Occurrence Reports and complaints. The Licensing Compliance Analyst will train staff and participate in work groups and stakeholder committees related to the administration of community mental health programs.
Up to 50% overnight statewide travel by airplane, train, automobile, or other transportation is required. The position may require overnight travel for up to 4 consecutive nights to meet training requirements.

Telework Information
This position is designated as a field-based position that regularly conducts site visits and interacts with health care partners, providers, or others. This position is eligible to telework up to five days a week in accordance with DHCS' Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 - 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.
The selected candidate will be assigned an available DHCS office closest to their residence prior to their start date. The selected candidate will be required to report to their assigned DHCS office and other DHCS locations as needed. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee's designated office and residence subject to 37 regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the
selected candidate.
