Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics

DescriptionKidTherapy, located in south Austin is searching for a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our group! We are a pediatric outpatient clinic serving clients with a variety of diagnoses. We are looking for both employees and independent contractors. You can work as few or as many hours as you would like in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment! I'd love the opportunity to meet you.Responsibilities•Evaluate clients and develop individualized treatment plans•Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' independence in daily activities, mobility, and functional skills•Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care•Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs•Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge summaries•Stay on top of current research and best practices in occupational therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness and patient outcomesQualifications•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program•Valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist•CPR certification and other relevant credentials as required•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills•Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team•Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
