We are seeking a passionate and dynamic

Community Development Team Lead

to join our team! As the Community Development Team Lead, you will lead team in developing and executing girl/adult membership recruitment and retention plans. You will coordinate and provide ongoing support to adult volunteers and increase Girl Scout visibility and engagement in the community through community networking and collaboration. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering relationships and engaging community partnerships that help GSWO expand our reach to empower more girls into future leaders. The CD Team Lead manages a collaborative team of up to 6 staff members including Community Development Managers and Community Education Managers and will be responsible for providing direction and oversight for the team's program delivery within the assigned communities. This inspirational leader will be passionate about leading people, enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and committed to helping girls reach their full potential through education, mentorship and community support. Your duties as the Community Development Team Lead will include:Provide leadership to the Community Development Team through training, support and coaching.Drive membership growth by preparing and managing the Community Development Team to document and implement comprehensive recruitment and retention plans for girls/ adults in troops, volunteer-led series, Girl Scouting in the School Day, and other opportunities based on community attributes and in alignment with council goals and council recruitment and retention strategies.Lead and provide ongoing coaching on volunteer program management to ensure excellent customer service to volunteers and parents through communication, education, conflict management, and recognition to support the achievement of council program and customer experience targets.Develop and implement a comprehensive community strategy for the team's assigned communities that engages and prepares volunteers, parents, and community organizations to provide girls with a high-quality, progressive Girl Scout Leadership Experience.Create and build collaborative partnerships with schools, community organizations, and other networks to increase visibility and opportunities for girls, recruit volunteers, and increase program and funding partnerships to meet council objectives. Identify and take the lead on strategic alliances to benefit communities and councils overall.Provides support to Council strategic initiatives, including circles, product sales, camp, and fund development efforts through the department and leading project teamwork.To be successful in this role, you should have:

Bachelor's degree or any combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the position's duties.Experience managing staff.Experience in recruitment and managing adult volunteers.Demonstrated experience successfully building relationships with diverse stakeholders.Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.Availability to work evenings and weekends.Valid state driver's license and a vehicle for work within the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio region.
