Required Qualifications
(as evidenced by an attached resume) :
Associates degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of a degree, a four (4) year apprenticeship in one of the trade areas such as Carpentry or Electrical may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Apprenticeship in Commercial Carpentry.
Brief Description of Duties:
Working under supervision, incumbents design and construct a wide variety of models and devices following limited written or oral instructions. Complete assignments as described by the general nature and purpose of equipment of device.
Duties:Perform laboratory construction of advanced difficulty in planning and designing with the ability to read blueprints.Monitor budgets and timelines.May assign and check tasks performed by others assigned to assist in the work when completing large projects or programs.Other duties as assigned.
Special Notes:The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
