ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager, who will join a strong sales team that values collaboration, communication and transparency. The Regional Sales Manager will lead a team of Sales Professionals who are focused on new and existing revenue growth. Responsibilities include focusing on increasing the company's overall revenue in a designated service area through hiring, training, motivating and managing Sales Professionals to achieve specific new business targets on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. This is a fast paced and demanding role with high visibility within the company. This role reports to the Corporate Sales Manager.

Drive sales, gross margin, and profitability growthResponsible for area sales and profit plans to budget through successful leadership, organizational plans, customer service, and outstanding execution of all sales processesKnow and manage the business by effectively using financial reports, assessing results, and developing specific actions directly related to business development and growthAssist with the integration of acquired businesses within regionKnow our top customers by interacting with them, observing purchasing habits, associate and customer experienceResponsible to ensure that all associates are current and up to date with fire and life safety knowledge, use, and related product applications through a commitment to formalized training and development within prescribed timelines and standardsAccountable to ensure that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clear and documented performance improvement plansRecruitment and Retention of Top Talent

Ensure the overall staffing plan reflects high standards, bench and succession planning, coupled with consistent mentoring and people developmentDirect a standard that reflects a staffing approach that meets the customer needsEnsure you have bench strength for future management needs both in existing and new marketsResponsible to maintain a current career path assessment overview of each location team, and the region as an operating unitTraining

Conduct training and field ride evaluations quarterly with each sales professionalUnderstand and administer the HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance and consistencyValidate operational readiness and leverage volume pricing where availableCommunication

Consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to all management teams through organized and scheduled calls and various methods of communicationEstablish a process to ensure locations have accountability to expectations on a consistent and timely basisQUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent education and work experience10+ years of sales and leadership experienceIDEAL QUALITIES

Business to Business fire and life safety industry experience driving revenue and helping build strong GTM strategiesDemonstrated track record of uncovering opportunities and advancing prospect opportunities to close by following a prescribed selling campaign processStrong orientation to delivering winning outcomes and possessing an emotional engine that is contagiously felt throughout the organizationProficiency in identifying high value prospects, running a disciplined sales campaign and converting prospects into CertaSite customersWho are we?

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

controlled climate, office environment, travel as needed; expected around 50% of the time, visit customer locations and may have meetings in field settings, required to sit for long periods of time, eight hours or more per day and being frequently required to use monitor, keyboard, and phone
