PRIMARY FUNCTION Provide overall management and direction for

Civil / Site Utilities

project(s) from initial estimate through construction completion. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Review each project with Underground Division Manager to define scope of work, establish project objectives, policies, procedures, performance standards, and set up workable schedule for job cost control, labor material and equipment. 2. Responsible for planning work schedule, determining manpower levels and arranging for assignment of project personnel. 3. Conduct a kick-off meeting with Underground Division Manager, field superintendent, estimators, purchasing, engineer, foreman, and detailing. 4. Work with Purchasing on all equipment and material buyout. 5. Work with Project Engineer and Foreman to make sure that the job drawings and change orders are up to date on a monthly basis. 6. Manage financial aspects of the contract. Prepare a cost-to-complete report once a month and review with Underground Division Manager and submit to Cost Control monthly. 7. Prepare a monthly billing for General Contractor or Owner. 8. Prepare monthly subcontractor billing. 9. Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc. 10. Meet weekly with field staff to review project. 11. Document pending problems and advise management. 12. In the absence of Project Engineer, Project Manager will assume all Project Engineer responsibilities. 13. Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate management. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred 3 years experience in Civil / Site Utility projects. Computer proficiency in Microsoft products is required. Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance through understanding of corporate practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
