Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated
ServiceNow QA Engineer
who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of IT Service Management processes on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Product Owner and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into comprehensive testing strategies, focusing on both manual and automated testing. This role requires a balance of deep technical expertise, hands-on testing experience, and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:Test Management & Strategy:Establish and define best practices for test management and execution.Develop and execute manual test cases for functional and regression testing.Lead discussions with ServiceNow developers and process owners to align on test plans and design.
utomated Testing:Create and maintain automated test cases using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).Ensure test cases are linked to requirements/user stories for traceability.Perform/support various testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
Collaboration & Communication:Work closely with the Product Owner, developers, and stakeholders to peer review test design strategies and automated test cases.ct as a liaison between the QA team and other departments, coordinating testing activities across teams.Facilitate testing sessions for complex user stories, collaborating with Business Analysts and developers.
Quality Assurance & Reporting:Conduct in-depth reviews of requirement specifications and technical designs, providing actionable feedback.Create comprehensive test plans that include a wide range of testing scenarios.Supervise all testing phases, focusing on defect resolution and maintaining quality during platform upgrades.
Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on ServiceNow platform changes and continuously enhance testing methodologies.Identify gaps in test coverage and create missing requirements/test cases.Provide training and best practice knowledge to other team members for test management and automation.
Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Required Experience:3+ years
of experience in developing, implementing, and executing test frameworks using tools like ServiceNow ATF, Selenium, or similar.5+ years
of experience in designing and implementing test strategies in Agile/SAFe/DevOps environments.Experience leading QA efforts, including test strategy definition, defect management, and reporting.Proven ability to translate requirements/user stories into detailed test cases and scenarios.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in ServiceNow ATF for automated testing.Experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, qTest, Tosca).Familiarity with Agile (SCRUM), SDLC, and ITIL standards.Experience with integrated systems such as Jira, Jenkins, Sauce Labs, and CI/CD pipelines.Exposure to programming languages like JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, Angular, and REST API testing.
Preferred Skills/Certifications (Not Required):
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Developerutomation Specialist Level 1 (Tricentis)Test Design Specialist Level 1 (Tricentis)Experience with Java, C#, Selenium, Appium, and API/Web Services testingKnowledge of tools like qTest, LiveCompare, and Vision AIStrong familiarity with ITIL standards and Agile (SCRUM) methodologiesSoft Skills:
