This individual Control the operation of the contact adhesive, or PVA mixers, including compounding the batch, pumping of the solvent or emulsions, mixing of the batch, and packaging the product under direction of Supervisor - Adhesives. Performs other tasks as required. This is a straight day position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESForklift driving.Following instructions with precision.Repeating SOP's consistently on a daily basis. Attention to detail is critical.Turning on solvent, or emulsion valves in correct order as needed according to batch.Monitor solvent meters, or scales for accuracy while pumping batches.Transfer finished adhesives into containers, or holding tanks.Weigh all batches for the mixers.Pump and charge the mixers.Establish a clean, safe, organized, work area.Accurately fill out production paperwork with required information.Operate a stretch wrap machine.Manually palletize finished goods.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work activities. Knowledge of the product and its manufacturing process Ability to be comfortable and safety conscious when operating machinery. Ability to communicate well in a production operation environment. Ability to Ability to understand and follow directions. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATIONHigh School Graduate or GEDEXPERIENCE1+ years of manufacturing. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight 50-100 lbs.
