We are currently hiring an Associate Director – Space Cybersecurity LSE in the Systems Security Engineering (SSE) Center which is part of the Systems Engineering organization. This is an onsite position at Raytheon at any of following sites: McKinney, Texas; Richardson, Texas; El Segundo, California; or Aurora, Colorado.
The Space Cybersecurity LSE-P6 is a key role in the Systems Security Engineering organization accountable for key decisions throughout the life cycle of programs which affect our competitive position and executability. The Space Cybersecurity LSE operates through coordination with the Architects, Technologists, and programs across disciplines in the key system security concepts, capabilities and limitations, architecture, and development processes. The Space Cybersecurity LSE drives a common vision to the teams to allow coordinated execution of the concept during pursuit and development phases and oversee execution over the system lifecycle including sustainment. This will require that the Space Cybersecurity LSE to work across the Raytheon business to leverage company technology and resources needed by the program. The Space Cybersecurity LSE supports program knowledge point planning through the development process, while also expanding the approaches to problem solving and designing optimal solutions. In addition, the Space Cybersecurity LSE guides the overall system security architecture design decisions, utilizing the design teams to inform decisions, and ensures design compliance and system performance.
What You Will Do
You will influence the security architecture of the system, establish processes, and align program leadership, office the of chief engineer, and multiple IPTs
You will regularly assess program health and progress toward milestones within the portfolio. You will have regular communication to the leadership to provide program status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed, while influencing the SSE program leads to ensure program alignment and teamwork
You will Interact and coordinate with customer community stakeholders, including acquisition and technical groups, to influence and guide the development of program mission requirements
You will be the primary SME responsible for ensuring Cybersecurity program execution
You will be the initial Cybersecurity engagement for new programs, including leading BOE development and approaches for efforts
You will mentor and guide SSE team members and coordinate engagement of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) when appropriate
You will apply extensive experience in task leadership and system level design, integration, and verification.
Lead the consistency of Cyber Implementation and Risk management Framework (RMF) across the SSE Center
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 12 years of prior relevant experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI Security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience managing and/or leading cross-disciplined teams in a technical capacity
Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and/or Risk and Opportunity Management to identify issues and develop recommended courses of action to management
Experience in Cybersecurity Architecture, Implementations, RMF, and sustainment including traditional Information Technology and embedded technologies
Experience in Space systems
Qualifications We Prefer
Program Management certification or experience
DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II Compliant Certification (e.g. Security+, CISSP, or equivalent)
Strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and Experience implementing DoD and Federal IA Certification and Accreditation Processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation
Demonstrated ability as a team lead to drive design and development across multiple functional organizations
Excellent presentation and proposal skills
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline
Experience working on U.S. Government contract proposals as a Cybersecurity subject matter expert

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
