Travel Unit Notes: Looking for 1 LTC RN (cannot take an LPN) MTW 6p-6:30a Hoping to start 12/1 and train for a couple weeks before working on their own by 12/15 (Training first 2 weeks would be on days then move to nights schedule) 2 hour minimum call back. PRACTICING EXCELLENCE: Providing quality care while safeguarding resident rights are two goals for the LTC health team. To meet these goals for the residents, all staff integrates the following LTC core values in the care they provide to our residents in order to practice Excellence : *Compassion/Patience *Flexibility *Gentleness *Happiness/Joy *Respect/Honesty *Responsibility/Trustworthiness KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska. 2. Must keep current with CEU credits as required by the State of Alaska. 3. Maintains BLS certification. 4. A minimum of one (1) year experience in Gerontology, preferable in a Long Term Care facility, is desired. 5. Speaking, listening, and writing skills required to effectively communicate with others, and to document care provided. Ability to complete computer documentation is required. 6. Numerical ability is required to calculate drug dosages. 7. Must complete General and Licensed staff orientation for LTC. 8. Must have ability to organize tasks. 9. Supervisory Skills/aptitude. 10. A clinical ladder is offered for those RN staff choosing to obtain and maintain competency in additional specialties as noted in the Collective Bargaining Agreement Cancellation Policy: may cancel any shift or part of a shift without penalty, according to the following limits: 3 shifts for any assignment of 13 weeks or less, 4 shifts for any assignment of 14-20 weeks, and 5 shifts for any assignment of 21 weeks or more.
