POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports to the Director of Category Management and is responsible for the strategic management of our global non-metallics product category. This position will provide global category leadership, aligning with segment and regional category teams and working closely with segment and divisional product leaders, operations and other key stakeholders to deploy strategies that drive value and sustainability in our supply chain. This key role will work closely with the global supply chain teams, operations, plant and corporate leaders in the development of strategic plans and supporting objectives to drive overall performance across Regal Rexnord.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and drive a category strategy for non-metallics, including: resins, urethanes, and molded components. including developing strategic sourcing partnerships, leading negotiations, and strategy implementationLead Supplier management strategy including supplier development, supply base consolidation, cost reduction roadmaps and implementation of supplier segmentation plan.Partner with business segments and influence the strategic direction of the category strategy, including design criteria, and directed sourcing requirements (Tier 2/Tier 3).Leads the effort to achieve and maintain alignment in the value chain between the suppliers, and the end customer in all form, fit, function, price and delivery requirements.Strategically supports divisions within the larger function of global supply chain.Manages, tracks, and reports key drivers, market trends from a historical and forecasting perspective.Establishes and implements countermeasures to compensate for negative performance and market trends.Gain a comprehensive understanding of the category total cost, including an integrated view of tooling and component costs as a part of the category strategyPartners with the operational purchasing teams to ensure period-over-period process improvementsDrives innovation and a focus on continuous improvement within the supply chain organizationResponsible for timely reporting to agreed-on KPIs and presents strategic sourcing plans, activities and successes to the Senior Leadership Team.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS
BA or BS degree required, preferably in Supply Chain/Operations management. Master's Degree / MBA desired.8+ years of direct supply chain, operations, distribution or related experience, with several years being in a category management or procurement of resins and molded componentsDeep industry expertise in resins and polymers including roles in sourcing / supply chain, managing a diverse set of resin and polymer sub-categoriesDeep understanding of resin and polymer supply base, cost drivers, market dynamics, and cost management/reduction strategiesExperience with direct material sourcing on a global scale, with multi-tier supplier relationship managementOutstanding analytical skills with the ability to use a structured approach to understand, analyze and solve complex problems / issuesAbility to develop working partnerships with senior executives across the business and to challenge and influence them to create changeCross-functional / cross-departmental outlook, working across a decentralized organizationStrong written communication and excellent oral presentation skills, and the ability to present convincingly at senior levelsTravel:
