Job Summary

The Director of University and Academic Affairs Policy Administration seeks an Administrative Assistant to provide complex secretarial and administrative office support and perform a variety of administrative duties as described below.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Provides administrative support to Faculty Policy Director, the Senate Faculty Review Standards Committee, and the University Promotion and Tenure Advisory Committee. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scheduling appointments and committee meetings, coordinating and organizing committee materials, and drafting communication.

Assists Faculty Policy Director with planning and goal setting.

Collects, organizes, and analyzes data for specialized reports.

Initial faculty policy and guideline preparation including formatting a current/proposed policy or procedure on the appropriate template and making initial edit recommendations.

Provide research support.

Other assignments as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in business or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and three years full-time secretarial experience required. Demonstrated human relations and effective written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and direct supervisory experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint)
