What You’ll Be Doing:

Evolent is seeking a Senior Analyst, Primary Care Performance Analytics to join our Primary Care business, Evolent Care Partners. Evolent Care Partners’ mission is to partner directly with primary care providers across the country to improve patient outcomes and reduce avoidable healthcare costs. In this role, you will support our home-grown practice-facing IT platform used to drive physician network performance and help drive business unit performance through partnerships with operational stakeholders. We are a nimble and fast-paced team looking for innovators and disruptors with a passion for improving healthcare.

This role offers the chance to work collaboratively, shape team culture, and make a direct impact within our rapidly growing organization. You’ll engage with a diverse range of experts, from clinicians to healthcare strategists, to tackle some of the most significant challenges in healthcare. By working closely with Data Science, Product, and Operations, you’ll help identify opportunities to further Evolent’s mission to change the way healthcare is delivered. What You Will Be Doing:

Participate in design and scoping of analytics work; be comfortable breaking new ground

Execute high-quality analyses with accuracy and attention to detail; anticipate challenges and navigate roadblocks

Visualize data to highlight insightful findings for diverse stakeholder audiences

Support executive-level report-outs of ECP’s business unit performance using leading indicators.

Maintain and enhance platform’s underlying logic. Act as internal R&D to evaluate and build new Intellectual Property into the platform

Manage your time and productivity to deliver against agreed-upon timelines

Develop close working relationships with peers and leaders across Evolent Care Partners’ analytics, clinical, operations, and IT teams

Bring an innovative problem-solving approach to continually differentiate Evolent’s capabilities and exceed expectations

Contribute to a culture of all team members feeling valued and respected; Always maintain Evolent values of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications - Required and Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a quantitative major (e.g. actuarial, statistics, operations research, mathematics, economics) or healthcare major (health administration, epidemiology, public health, biology)

Strong proficiency in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy)

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL

1+ years of professional experience in an analytics role (or comparable internship or graduate school experience)

Comfortable working with multiple data sources in both structured data and unstructured format to create analytic solutions, solid technical abilities with data and database manipulation skills

Ability to communicate clearly with less technical stakeholders to solve problems; ability to translate between business needs and technical nuances

Master's Degree, especially with a quantitative focus (e.g. data science, machine learning, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering) is preferred

Professional experience in healthcare analytics (e.g. medical claims data, membership data, or other healthcare data) is preferred

Familiarity with value-based care and programs such as Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) is preferred

Working knowledge of Medicare claims, episode and condition groupers, case/episode and risk adjustment, patient attribution methodologies, and network analysis and pod development is preferred

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and managing competing deadlines is preferred

Experience with additional programming languages: R, SAS, Java is preferred

Experience working with unstructured data and/or NLP is preferred

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $72,000 - 90,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
