Your Role on Our Team
The
Associate Manufacturing Manager
is responsible for multiple areas of manufacturing; knowing and implementing all policies and procedures, mentoring, and developing the staff, and ensuring all policies and procedures are met. This position will contribute to team efforts by participating in continuous improvement projects as required.
You'll
be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for leading and coordinating teams in manufacturing areas in order to meet production schedules and meet required safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team objectives
Orient, train/develop, motivate, counsel and assist team members in work instructions, production standards, and the balanced flow of work and problem resolution
Perform all related supervisory and human resource functions (work assignments, attendance documentations, incident reports, performance evaluations/counseling)
Coordinate and work with HR on all employee/employment related issues and Activities (i.e. hire, termination, training, and performances)
Develop and maintain effective working relationships within team environment
Ensure the transfer of information to appropriate shift and plant wide personnel
Assist or oversee production scheduling/planning, quality, material flow and equipment maintenance
Audit quality and safety reports and processes to determine cause of issues/problems and ensures necessary corrections are performed to maintainstandards
Assign work and special projects to team members to develop work experience and flexibility
Requisition resources (supplies, tools, etc.) and expedite as required
Act as backup for all team members
Discover and Implement Cost Savings Projects within Department by working with support departments to improve production efficiencies
Aid in Development and Maintenance of Job Packets/Documentation for Department
Consult/Implement NPD Projects related to department value streams
Help develop budgets and forecasts and integrate into budgeting process
Perform risk analysis and risk planning on the schedule when necessary
Contribute to team effort by performing related tasks as needed to assist in overall goals
Other duties and projects as determined by production and business needs
The TOOLS

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Operations or Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent education/work experience.
5+ years’ experience leading people
Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong oral and written communications skills
Ability to multi task in a busy, deadline oriented environment
Ability to assess needs and solve problems
Must be able to take initiative
