TravelUnit Notes: Unit CV OR# suites "2 dedicated heart rooms/ 1 Hybrid suite and 1-2 open surgical rooms for various cases"# of cases per day "8 to 14- varied Vascular/thoracic and heart cases scheduled each day throughout the week"Required Certifications BLS, prefer ACLSCommon Cases Open heart, CABG, Valve replacements, thoracic cases, vascular, open and endo vascular, AAA, IVC filters.Experience or 'Must have' skills Must be well rounded with cardio and vascular. Must have open heart and endovascular experience. 1-2 years of experience highly preferred and prefer previous travel -Not required if great experience. Vascular hybrid preferred.Scrubbing required - RN's circulating required, scrubbing is a bonus - 1 circulator in vascular and 2 typically in opens.Charge Nurse/House Supervisor 2 leads available. They have a charge and a CV coordinator-expert resource. Service leader available as well.OR techs YesEMR Cerner- SurginetShifts & Scheduling 4-10's, 6:45-5:15 or until the case is done, Occasionally stay late. No self scheduling. Vartiable day off.Weeknight/Call Requirement Depends, typically 1-2 week nights of call- 5pm-7am (2 SCRUB TECHS AND A NURSE)Weekend/Call Requirement Weekend can be 1 or 2 weekends a month.Holiday Requirement Need to be flexible to work holidays if needed.Is there a mandatory call/standby requirement Yes - perm staff typically take call first unless traveler request call.What is call response time 30 min in OR dressed and ready to goFloating Requirements Main OR or within skillsetScrub Color/Dress Code ProvidedUnit/Department specific orientation Up to 1 week with preceptor.Additional Notes Looking for someone that can go with the flow, jump in and be a team player when needed.
