Reporting to the Regional Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee the general accounting function for Taft. You will manage the financial close process, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and providing analysis. Important responsibilities include general ledger preparation, reporting, SOX and audit activities, payroll administration, fixed assets, working capital management, and FP&A support. Your role will involve frequent interaction with accounting team members, business leaders, and corporate headquarters.

You Will:

Oversee general ledger structure, verify intercompany balances, and track T&E, P-Card, Fixed Assets, and Leases.

Create journal entries, account reconciliations, and quarterly analytics; submit consolidated financials to corporate.

Prepare annual tax packages and 10-K for review and assist with SOX and financial audits.

Oversee invoice entry, payments, credit/collections, payroll, and time collection systems. Review withholding tax filings.

Update Hyperion with results, track capital asset spending, and investigate monthly variances.

Lead and develop staff, set goals, and implement new procedures to improve workflow.

Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX, and company policies. Liaise with auditors and collaborate with departments to ensure financial accuracy.

Identify operational efficiencies and support continuous improvement projects across teams.

You Have:

An associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience .

10+ years in finance or accounting with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role.

Experience with Section 404 Sarbanes-Oxley, 10-Q/10-K reporting, and Epicor or other ERP systems.

Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and experience in FP&A.

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills .

The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - $140,000 yearly . Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications , and applicable laws.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
