Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Job Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks Experience: 2 years required; First-time candidates accepted License: Valid State License required. Pending license accepted. Certifications: BCLS, RRT Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC charting system - Experience with airway management devices and suctioning including endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oropharyngeal/suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy/suctioning - Medication administration experience with Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Lidocaine, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, and Xopenex - Proficiency with medication delivery systems such as aerosol set-up mask, aerosol set-up trach, metered dose inhaler - Nebulizer proficiency including hand-held, T-piece, trach collar, and ultrasonic - Oxygen therapy experience, particularly with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) - Ventilator management skills including BiPAP, CPAP, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation - ABG interpretation expertise Job Description: - Work primarily during night shifts, with weekends required every third weekend - Clinicians must float within their scope to meet facility needs, including ICUs and general floors - Not open to accommodating block schedules - No local candidates within 75 miles radius accepted - Candidates will float within service line and possibly to affiliate hospitals nearby - Must complete a 40-hour orientation - Work includes mandatory night shifts, with no charge for parking during these hours - Adherence to weekend and holiday policies - Comply with flu vaccine requirements, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only - Candidates must have two supervisory references within the last two years at the time of submission
