Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Solution Architect to join a top financial company in the Des Moines area. The Solution Architect designs and oversees solutions for new business projects, focusing on migrations from on-prem services to cloud services. They will be in charge of collaborating with stakeholders, business analysts and the development team to develop proof of concepts to present new ideas to leaders. They will be advising and looking into new business systems, identifying areas of improvements, and making designs to transition to new systems. It is crucial that this team is successful in their solutions on the first try so this architect will be in charge of checks and balances to ensure they are best supporting the business. This team is heavily back end but has a front end team that will be supporting them. They ensure the viability of existing applications and drive standardized development processes. Collaborating with internal and external partners, they align technology decisions with the Enterprise Architecture framework and company goals. They work closely with stakeholders, vendors, and developers to plan and challenge application architecture approaches. Specializing in insurance IT, they support cross-functional business needs and align with best practices and technology roadmaps. The annual salary for this position is $115,000-$145,000.

Skills and Requirements
10 years of IT experience
5 years of Azure or AWS cloud experience and the ability to understand cloud architecture patterns
Hands on .Net development experience (can be a senior/lead developer as long as they are able to understand architecture and communicate with business stakeholders) Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform specifically, needs to be able to speak the language)
Experience migrative from an on-prem service to a cloud service null
