Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled data scientist to join our team and help us extract valuable insights from our data. The ideal candidate will have experience with machine learning algorithms and natural language processing techniques, as well as a strong background in statistics and programming.
Responsibilities:
Hands-On Software Development
Identify and analyze complex data sets to extract meaningful insights
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions
Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems
Hands-on Software Engineering and Delivery to Production
Focus on solutioning from an engineering and architecture perspective, ensuring successful deployment into production environments, meeting high-quality standards and performance benchmarks
Evaluate and optimize the performance of machine learning models using techniques such as cross-validation and hyperparameter tuning
Apply natural language processing techniques to extract information from unstructured text data
Communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Continuously improve and innovate on data analysis and modeling techniques to enhance the accuracy and usefulness of insights
Requirements:
4+ years of proven experience as a Data Scientist
3+ years In-depth knowledge of python (expert level - must), java (desired) and major Machine Learning/ Generative AI software libraries and frameworks
3+ years’ experience with machine learning algorithms such as linear regression, decision trees, and neural networks
Experience in Finance & Banking domains
Familiarity with natural language processing techniques such as text classification, sentiment analysis, and entity recognition
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with OpenAI ( ChatGPT) as well as Google AI for Gemini, as well as open source LLMS (e.g. Llama)
LangChain or LlamaIndex: Familiarity with these frameworks for integrating LLMs with external data sources
Experience designing and securing APIs to ensure safe interactions with AI systems
Proficiency for web-based AI application development and integrating front-end applications with AI services and APIs
