Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a
Strategy & Corporate Development Analyst for our energy services client located in Houston, Texas. This role reports to the VP of Finance and is responsible for Corporate Strategy, M&A, and Corporate Development functions.
Role is HYBRID (3 days per week) in the office located in Northwest Houston.
Base salary up to $125k DOE plus 10% bonus opportunity and benefits
Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 3+ years experience in investment banking, Big 4 advisory or corporate development required; MBA preferred
Experience with Strategy, M&A, and Corporate Development required
Experience in the oil & gas sector strongly preferred
Role Overview:
Strategy / M&A / Corporate Development:
Analysis and strategic planning function responsibility for the business including variance analysis and FP&A
Assist with researching, monitoring and valuation analysis for new and existing investments and M&A opportunities
Manage various processes that help us identify which investments to buy or sell
Screen for and review new investment opportunities independently
Produce investment presentational materials for executive and investor presentations
Special projects as requested
Requirements / Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required; MBA preferred and 3+ years experience in investment banking, advisory (Big 4/Consulting), strategy or corporate development required
Experience with Corporate Strategy, M&A, and Corporate Development required
Experience in oil & gas sector preferred
Heavy financial modeling, valuation and analysis experience required
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skill level required
